2. Why Needish?
When we began this journey, we looked for a name for our company that could easily adapt to English and that was related with what people needed. After several ideas – some good, some not so good – we ended up with Needish, and it stuck.

3. Who can use Needish?
Everyone who needs something, whether it’s a service, product or just good advice. People can also use Needish to help out by offering their recommendations and opinions.
Companies and vendors can use Needish to offer their products and services, improve their reputation and name recognition among potential clients and to satisfy their own Needs.

5. How much does all this cost?
Nothing. No, really, it’s free to post Needs, offer Help and even to set up your basic business profile! If you have a business, we do offer the option of a premium profile for a small fee, but you can enjoy Needish without ever giving us a dime.

6. What is Needish?
Needish is a free marketplace powered by your friends. You can post Needs and receive Help and ProHelps from friends, businesses and other community members. You can also post Sales Ads for the things you need to sell and even create a profile to publicize your business. And of course, you can help out your friends and other users with your own tips and recommendations.

1. What can I post in Needish?
Almost anything unless it has to do with pornography, racism, abuse or anything else that's illegal. We’ve specified further in our Community Guidelines – please take a second to read them as we will hold you to them.

2. How can I invite friends to Needish?
In your account, click on “People” then “Invite new friends.” Here you can invite friends one by one or invite your e-mail contacts using the friend finder on the right. This tool will allow you to see which of your contacts are already using Needish so you can add them as friends and invite the ones who aren’t here yet.

3. How do I know if a friend is already in Needish?
Go to the “Search” menu, choose "Users", write your friend-s nickname, first and/or last name and you’ll be able to see if he or she is already using Needish. If you can’t find who you’re looking for, invite your friends.

4. Who can see my Needs?
You decide. When you post, you can choose whether it will be public or private. Public Needs appear to all members of the community. Private Needs will only be shown to the people you’ve added as friends in Needish. By default, Needs are public. If you want only your friends to see your Need, don’t forget to change the privacy setting before posting.

5. What is a Need?
A Need is a post sharing what a member of the community needs, be it a service, product, information or something else.

6. What is a Help?
A Help is a post that responds to a Need. It can take the form of recommendation, advice, professional offer or request for more information, among others, but the point is that it is one user trying to help and support another.

7. What is a Sales Ad?
A Sales Ad is a post sharing what a member of the community wants to offer for sale or rent. Each Sales Ad should be for one tangible item (i.e. a car, an apartment) rather than general publicity. To advertise your business and offer your products and services on a more permanent basis, please Register your company.

8. What is a comment?
A comment is a post that responds to a Sales Ad. Before buying, you might want to know more. If you have all the information you need, your comment could be an offer to buy. The important part is that a comment is the way for you to get in touch with the owner of a Sales Ad.

9. Who can see my Sales Ads, Helps and comments?
In most cases, everyone in the Needish community. If you post a Help for a private Need, only the people who can see the Need will be able to see your Help. Otherwise, please keep in mind that your postings are public, and don’t include any sensitive or private information – it is the internet, after all!

10. Can I delete what I post in Needish?
No. Looking at the information posted in others’ Needs and Helps can be a useful way to find information, so we keep them in the site even after they’re closed. You can make a Need anonymous, which will mean it doesn’t show up as something you posted. Other information will always bear your nickname, however, so please don’t post anything you might regret later.

1. What is a NeedTracker?
A NeedTracker is a profile that includes keywords and geographic area, which filters all Needs to show you the Needs you might be interested in. Create your NeedTracker by going to “My Needish” and choosing “Change settings” next to your NeedTracker.

2. Why should I sign my company up in Needish?
Needish offers you a new way to connect with clients. Rather than just traditional advertising, we provide the opportunity to get in touch with people who are actively looking for your products and services. Needish is a great way to improve your reputation and name recognition among potential clients. You’ll also get a free business profile to better promote your company. 3. How can I offer professional services in Needish?
First, register your company. If you’re a new user, click the “Register my company” box when you sign up at www.needish.com. Existing users, sign in, then choose “My account” and “Register my company.” Fill out all the information you’d like to appear in your Needish company profile.
As part of this process you’ll be asked to create your NeedTracker. Use keywords that clients would use to find you. For example, a realtor would write words like “house, houses, apartment, real estate, properties” in her NeedTracker. You can create a NeedTracker without registering your company by going to “My Needish” and choosing “Change settings” next to your NeedTracker.

4. What is a ProHelp?
Companies that have chosen to have a premium profile in Needish can offer ProHelps. These are similar to Helps but allow for a public part, made up of the company’s general description and any other information the company wants to share with the whole community, and a private part, which contains the details of the specific offer.
