School Supplies & Book Bags

I collect new school supplies for Cleveland, OH elementary school children to make sure that they have the supplies that they need to start school. This was our first year and we raised about $800 worth of supplies and tools in just a few days. Now that we are focusing on next year, we're starting now.

If you have any school supplies or new book bags that would help a kid, please let me know. We scour the ads in the papers to pick up free erasers, paper, binders, etc from Staples and Office Max. If you could pick up those things too for donation, the kids would greatly benefit.

I see that you're a photographer. One of my 5-year goals is to have a student May Show where the kids can show off their artwork and I was hoping to introduce them to photography as well. One goal at a time though.

Please let me know if there are other questions you have. I know my answer is vague, but with this population of kids, they pretty much need all of the basic stuff. (Staples & Target still have back-to-school sales. We stop in at Staples daily to pick up the free stuff.)

Biography

I run a small club called Ready Academy that helps Cleveland school children get the schools supplies and tools that they need to attend classes. Our first year was very successful, collecting $800 worth of supplies in just 7 days.

Why I help
