If you're dead serious about this, you've got a long way to go before getting serious help.
Let me describe how this all looks to someone reading it:
There's a guy asking for $10 to build a whole school in a country halfway around the world.
Donations are sent through paypal.
He doesn't say how much money is needed, how he got to that amount, nor how much money has been collected.
He's asking for charity but is not registered as a 501(c)(3) organization, so my contribution is not tax deductible.
As a final blow to his credibility, he offers a link to a website that is not even up.
Yes, you'll need help building your school, but you're way ahead of where you need to be. Right now, you need help in how to ask for help.
Let this message be my way of helping you.
Thanks for your comments and for the help. The website is up and on my site I've indicated how much I've raised. It's been up for over six months.
I think the problem is that the link shows up as watdawat.com... including those last three dots. You can edit your need to fix that.
I do agree that hparker made some good points. This is an admirable goal, and I imagine that you're for real - but if I'm going to send money to you, I'd like less backstory and more concrete information assuring me that you're legit. I haven't checked out the website yet (will go do that now), but in order to encourage people to look at your site I would recommend you edit what you've written here to be a bit more to the point and credible right off the bat. We have short attention spans, draw us in first and then later give us the option of reading more of the story! That said, good luck, and I wish you nothing but the best.
Thanks Emily, I've never ask for help before, at least not like this way. I guess I got a lot to learn.
My project has already started thanks to my blog readers and my friends and relatives. I was just trying to find new ways to get more help.
