Home Hosts for Kyrgystan Exchange Program
The International Visitors Council of Los Angeles is pleased to participate in the USAID Community Connections Program. We will host ten professionals from the Kyrgyz Republic on the topic of Apparel Manufacturing. The Community Connections Program provides professional training and builds understanding with professional leaders from the former Soviet Union, creating linkages between the U.S. and Eurasia.
During a portion of their three-week visit they will stay in the homes of IVCLA Citizen Diplomats, providing an opportunity for them to experience day-to-day American life. As a home host you will receive a unique opportunity to learn about a different culture, make new friends and even, perhaps, to have an authentic Kyrgyz meal cooked for you. The visitors will be attending their professional meetings each day during the week. IVCLA will arrange transportation from your home to their meetings.
In order to continue with this program we need volunteers to open their homes for one or two visitors for a week from September 24th – October 12th. Please help us show our guests Los Angeles hospitality.
Home-stay Hosts will receive a one-year IVCLA membership.
