I need to deliver a gift in Santiago

jimmyjohn needs:

Hola Needish - non-Spanish speaking gringo here - I need to buy my friend a gift, but the problem is that I am in the United States and she is in Santiago. I want someone to deliver something special to her home or work on her birthday.... Flowers would work ok, but I'd rather deliver something extra special like a cake or something.

So I'm looking for advice on two things: 1) how to get something delivered in Santiago - if it's a website then it has to have a good english transation, and accept payments in US Dollars. AND 2) I'm taking suggestions on what to buy the most beautiful 27 year old Chilean girl in the entire city of Santiago!

Hi Jim, check out http://www.deleites.cl/ - they do delivery of cute breakfasts as well as more traditional things like chocolates and champagne. I for one would enjoy getting breakfast in bed delivered! You can probably send them an e-mail to see about paying from the US, their e-mail is [e-mail] - hopefully someone with you in Charlestown can help you with the Spanish. just to add some info, any website with the logo "Webpay" (Transbank) can manage your credit card purchase in U$ dollars, The commerce will receive the money in the local currency pesos as stated in the price on the website, and you will charged for the equivalent ammount in dollars.

see www.webpay.cl to check the logo
and www.df.cl for a daily U$/CLP chilean pesos exch.rate.
