I'm looking for something creative to give my boyfriend of two years for his birthday. Generally I like to give "experiences" (e.g. a weekend skiing) instead of "things," but any suggestions are welcome! We're both in our earlier 20s if that helps.
Sometimes you can be creative with really simple things, the other day i gave a green day disc to a friend but instead of using regular gift wrapper paper i used post-its and wrote diferent messages on each one.
The main part on creative presente gifts is the unexpected.

I once gave my step-dad a very popular "contract"... where I had given away options to call in favors on a 12-month basis... move the lawn, do the dishes, wake up really early and golf with him etc. etc. He loved it... I hated it... but was only like 13 and cant be blaimed for not knowing how long a year of favors is. Doing dishes and laundry and stuff your boy-friend should do anyway so I imagine the "favors" are slightly different... but this is a respectful and decent forum so I cant give any specific ideas!
Maybe as a main-gift this one is a somewhat boring but wrapped in post-its like above and served during lunch on that snowy slope, the second day... I would have loved it! Good luck!

what about wine tasting in napa? or if you're on a budget, it could be cute to just get a few nice bottles and do a special wine pairing dinner...i know you know how to do that!
oooooh, or you could actually take him to the french laundry! but that might be a bit of a stretch, haha.
