on 6/13/2008 I, bad news from iowa: In Cedar River, Iowa June 12 The Cedar River poured over its banks Thursday in Cedar Rapids, forcing the evacuation of nearly 4,000 homes, causing a railroad bridge to collapse and leaving cars underwater on downtown streets. Officials estimated that 100 blocks in Cedar Rapids were under water.
